Sean 'Diddy' Combs Faces Five Anonymous Lawsuits Alleging Sexual Assault

Five new accusers have filed lawsuits against Sean "Diddy" Combs, alleging he sexually assaulted them between 2001 and 2022.

Court records from New York reveal that the 55-year-old music mogul is accused of drugging and raping the plaintiffs, who filed their cases anonymously. The lawsuits are being handled by Texas attorney Tony Buzbee, who announced his intention to represent as many as 120 individuals with similar claims.

Buzbee revealed the lawsuits in a social media statement, noting that his firm plans to continue filing additional cases weekly as new evidence is gathered.

Combs’ Response to the Allegations

A representative for Combs dismissed the lawsuits as unfounded, claiming they are part of a coordinated effort to extort money from the artist. In a statement to USA TODAY, they described the legal actions as “baseless publicity stunts aimed at leveraging fabricated claims for financial gain.”

The statement further asserted: "Mr. Combs has full confidence in the judicial process, and the facts will show that he did not engage in any acts of sexual assault or trafficking."

Combs, who is currently facing federal charges of sex trafficking and racketeering, remains in custody pending his trial in May 2025. Multiple attempts to secure his release on a $50 million bond have been denied.

Details of the New Claims

  1. Case One: A Georgia man alleges he was drugged and raped by Combs at a house party in New York in 2022. The victim claims to suffer ongoing emotional distress from the incident.

  2. Case Two: A Texas man states he was assaulted by Combs, a bodyguard, and another individual during a 2001 audition for a music video. He believes he was drugged after consuming a Diet Coke provided during the meeting.

  3. Case Three: A Texas woman alleges that, at 17 years old, she was drugged and raped at a Fourth of July party hosted by Combs in the Hamptons in 2004. She says she was threatened by security to remain silent in exchange for her belongings.

  4. Case Four: A Maryland woman claims she was 18 when she and two friends were assaulted after being invited into Combs' SUV at a Halloween party in 2001.

  5. Case Five: A Florida man accuses Combs of drugging and raping him during an after-party in Miami in 2022. The victim says he was instructed to leave the residence by Combs' security team the next morning.

Each lawsuit cites the New York City Victims of Gender-Motivated Violence Protection Act and demands a jury trial.

Anonymous Filings Under Scrutiny

The issue of anonymity in these lawsuits has sparked debate. In a recent ruling on a separate case, Judge Mary Kay Vyskocil questioned whether plaintiffs should be allowed to remain anonymous, emphasizing the public's right to transparency in judicial proceedings.

Buzbee Faces Counterclaims

The attorney representing the accusers, Tony Buzbee, has himself been sued by a high-profile individual accusing him of extortion. The anonymous plaintiff alleges Buzbee used false sexual assault claims to pressure for financial settlements.

In response, Buzbee called the counterclaim "frivolous" and defended his actions as standard legal practice. He stated: "No demands for money or threats were made. These letters follow the same process as any other legal action across the nation."

As the legal battles unfold, both Combs and Buzbee remain resolute, with their respective sides confident that the courts will reveal the truth.
